- Experience
- Roblox’s term for a published game or interactive world; an experience can contain several places.
- Place
- One loadable world within an experience.
- Universe
- The connected set of places and services behind an experience.
- Robux
- Roblox virtual currency, either purchased or earned through eligible creator activity.
- Earned Robux
- Robux recognized by Roblox as creator earnings and potentially eligible for DevEx.
- DevEx
- Developer Exchange, the program for converting eligible Earned Robux to real-world payout.
- Luau
- Roblox’s Lua-derived scripting language, including optional static types.
- Studio
- The desktop creation environment for building, scripting, testing and publishing.
- Explorer
- Studio’s hierarchy of objects and services.
- Properties
- Studio panel for editing the selected object’s settings.
- Toolbox
- A browser for Creator Store and inventory assets.
- Asset Manager
- Project-level management for images, audio, meshes, animations and more.
- Workspace
- The 3D container where visible world objects usually live.
- ReplicatedStorage
- A shared container visible to server and clients, often used for modules and remotes.
- RemoteEvent
- A one-way network message between client and server; inputs should be validated on the server.
- DataStore
- Persistent cloud key-value storage for durable player or experience data.
- MemoryStore
- Temporary cross-server storage using queues and sorted maps.
- Open Cloud
- Web APIs for approved tools and services outside a live game server.

- User-generated content, often referring to community-made avatar items.
- Layered clothing
- 3D garments designed to conform across compatible avatar bodies.
- Classic clothing

- Bundle
- A packaged avatar body or character set.
- Emote
- A wearable avatar animation or pose.

- Developer Product
- A repeatable in-experience purchase, often used for consumables.
- Subscription
- A recurring in-experience membership benefit.
- Paid Access
- An upfront Robux price to enter an experience.
- Creator Rewards
- A Roblox program rewarding qualifying engagement and audience expansion.
- CCU
- Concurrent users—the number of players in an experience at the same time.
- Visits
- Cumulative launches of an experience, not a count of unique people.
- Obby
- An obstacle-course experience.
- Tycoon
- A build-and-earn loop centered on expanding an operation.
- Simulator
- A progression loop built around repeating actions, upgrades and collection.
- Roleplay / RP
- Social play where participants improvise characters, homes, jobs or stories.
- Battlegrounds
- Ability-driven PvP arenas, often inspired by anime combat.
- Rebirth
- A progression reset that trades current power for a long-term bonus.
- RNG
- Random-number generation: systems driven by chance.
- NPC
- A non-player character controlled by game logic.

- AFK
